JOB PURPOSE
Assist the Logistics team in moving finished goods stocks to customers and raw materials from the port to Ducab sites, utilizing hired transport
KEY ACCOUNTABILTIES
Policies, Processes and Procedures
• Implement all Standard Operating Procedures and processes
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
• Participate in initiatives for innovation and continuous improvement in pursuit of greater productivity
Reports
• Provide inputs for the preparation of accurate and timely performance reports, as required
Logistics Operations
• Organize and schedule transportation vehicles for materials movement engaging hired transport to ensure timely delivery of raw materials to Ducab sites and dispatch of finished products to customers
• Organize clearance of raw materials from ports to ensure they arrive at Company sites on time
• Instruct and advise transport companies, shipping agents and forwarders about transport schedules and operational requirements to meet deadlines
• Process service provider invoices accurately to ensure timely payments
Imports and Exports Operations
• Process duty exemption for imports to enable their timely clearance
• Prepare export documentation according to requirements of GCC countries
• Prepare documentation and vehicle arrangements for inter-site export consignments in line with the requirements of Central Logistics for timely and problem free deliveries
• Maintain proper records and documents for all imports and export transactions to fulfill audit requirements
Yard Operations
• Work closely with yard operations for loading and uploading of raw materials and delivery of finished goods to external customers
Systems
• Make the best use of systems OTM, SAP in order maintain an accurate record for logistics
Expense & Claims
• Prepare and process various expense claims in line with internal procedures and to ensure all expense payment obligations are met accurately at all given times
Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential: Vocational certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Strong understanding of knowledge in International Shipping procedures, Incoterms (2010), Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (AGCC) customs rules and custom clearance procedures. Thorough knowledge of imports, exports, Logistics Operation at Mussaffah and heavy truck movement and planning
Desirable : Vocational diploma in Supply Chain Management
Job Skills: Logistics skills, good communication, good computer skills, ability to meet deadlines
Behavioural Competencies : Transparency, integrity, professionalism, caring & supportive style, passion for excellence, change management orientation
Experience : 1-2 years of Logistics and Supply Chain experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in an ERP environment e.g. SAP, OTM.
